A pair of textile objects is inspired by the carnivorous plant Dionaea. These sculptures were created for an exhibition at Entrance Gallery in Prague entitled Woven from Weeds curated by Veronika Čechová The selection of the presented works is built around the question of who and on what basis should determine what parts of the world around us – but also our emotional experience – are (un)desirable or (un)valuable.
What to cultivate, and what elements or relationships, on the other hand, might be okay to purposely remove as unwanted „weeds“?
