This installation combines sound recording and sculptural textile objects, exploring the theme of spirituality through moments of self-inquiry and searching. The audio portion explores subjectivity through untrained, raw and intimate voice, reflecting on issues of spirituality and belief. The sculptures then use contrast contemporary digital material with the crafted, using organic shapes and manufactured wood to express the tension between the natural and the prefabricated. Through this work, the artist intends to open up a space for the viewer’s own interpretation and encourage meditation on the theme of spirituality, maintaining the transparency and elusiveness of this subject.
